You had no voice to express your desire to retain this long held right to out-of-state wine shipments from retailers. Now there is HB 2462, a bill that will restore your access to fine wines but you must take immediate steps in support of HB 2462 now.

The Illinois Assembly may be prepared to ignore your desire to access the wines you want...Again. UNLESS we reach out to specific members of the House who sit on the Business & Occupational Licenses Committee where HB 2462 will have a hearing.
HB 2462 would change Illinois Law to once again make it legal for you to purchase wine from out of state wine stores.
Please contact the committee members listed below using their email addresses listed below also and send them the following letter or one of your own. It's critical that all wine lovers in Illinois do this TODAY!

Dear Representative:
HB 2462 is in the Business & Occupational Licenses Committee where you are a member.
I'm writing to urge you to support it in committee so that it can be voted on by the full house.
HB 2462 would not only give me the right to buy wine from out-of-state wine stores, but it would raise upwards of $1,000,000 a year in Tax revenue from the out-of-state retailers that ship to Illinois. Illinois already makes it legal for me to have wine shipped to me from out-of-state wineries, Illinois wineries and Illinois wine stores, yet not from out-of-state wine stores where so many of the wines not available in Illinois can be found.
Again, I urge you to support HB 2462 when it comes for a hearing in the House Business & Occupational Licenses Committee.
